Virgil Abloh Premieres an Unreleased A$AP Rocky Track “Frankenstein”

While fans still grapple with A$AP Rocky’s arrest, Virgil Abloh is keeping the rapper and friend at the fore this festival season. This past weekend Abloh previewed an unreleased Rocky track during his DJ set at Melt Festival. “Frankenstein” was teased last week by house supergroup Swedish House Mafia, when they shared their support for Rocky and revealed they had collaborated with the Harlem rapper. Abloh put his own spin on the sample with a bass-heavy remix, watch it below.

@ourgenerationmusik “With this we’re gonna get Rocky home right quick,” Abloh announced before playing the track. He urged fans to record the track, saying “This is a very rare one.” This comes on the heels of Swedish House Mafia’s own reveal that they had something in the works with Rocky, sharing “#FREEROCKY” in a story on their official page.

The group also debuted the track during their performance at Ultra Europe, where their stage was lit up with “#JUSTICEFORROCKY.” Check out the video below.
